The Sonicrafter does a great job. Have not had a problem with it at all.
It is a high speed tool, and as with any high speed tool, make sure the attachments are fastened correctly and tightly. I would recommend this tool for a great job.

My wife and I just bought a home and I'm renovating the entire thing. Although I have many tools to get the job done, I saw the infomercial for the Fein Multimaster and was intrigued. The Fein was cost prohibitive, so I sterted looking for options and ran across the Rockwell. I've only had the oportunity to use it twice (once for cutting, once for sanding) and wasn't impressed. I cut a piece of base moulding to make room for a cabinet and the blade dulled about a half inch into it. Sanding prove......
I've used this tool for three things (so far):
1) Plunge cutting drywall. Works great with a semi-circular general purpose blade. Cuts a pretty clean straight line, and is not at all hard to eyeball a straight and level cut either. Does not cut like a hot knife through butter, you need patience. It cuts smoothly.
2) Plunge cutting wood. I need to cut a notch out of a piece of fence located in an awkward area next to the wall of my house. I was able to lean in with this tool......
I am pleased that I purchased the Rockwell Sonicrafter instead of the more expensive brands. It performs well. The only complaint I have is that the blades wear out too quickly.

A great tool to have in the tool box!!! Allows me to get into places with a saw that no other tool did. Used it right out of the box and saved me from the pain of trying to cut out molding by hand. Will know it is there for the tight workspaces.
